I am a secondary math specialist for a large public Texas school district. I work with schools to implement PLCs, incorporate strategies in the classroom, and write curriculum for our district. I taught high school math for seven years in Texas before becoming a math specialist. I graduated in 2009 with my Bachelors in Arts in Mathematics from Trinity University. In 2010, I graduated with my Masters in Arts in Teaching also from Trinity. In the summer of 2013, I traveled on a Fulbright scholarship to Germany and learned a lot about curriculum, diversity, and differentiation. In 2016, I was awarded Teacher of the Year for my campus. I love empowering teachers to build on their strengths and helping students make connections to what they’re learning. When I’m not teaching, you may find me with my two boys and husband, at one of his basketball games, playing with our two pups, or making cake pops.
